The ablation of cylinder gasket is mainly due to the impact of high temperature and high pressure gas on the cylinder gasket, burning the envelope, retainer and asbestos plate, resulting in cylinder leakage, lubricating oil and cooling water leakage. In addition, some human factors in operation, use and maintenance assembly are also important reasons for cylinder gasket ablation.
1. The engine works under a large load for a long time or often deflagrates, resulting in high temperature and high pressure in the cylinder and ablating the cylinder pad;
2. the ignition advance Angle or injection advance Angle is too large, so that the maximum pressure and maximum temperature in the cylinder are too high;
3. improper driving operation method, such as often rapid acceleration or long high-speed driving, due to excessive pressure aggravate the ablation of the cylinder pad;
4. poor engine heat dissipation or cooling system failure causes the engine temperature to be too high, prone to cylinder pad ablation failure;
5. the quality of the cylinder pad is poor, the thickness is not uniform, there are air bags in the bag mouth, the asbestos laying is not uniform or the bag edge is not tight;
6. the cylinder head warping deformation, the flatness of the cylinder body is out of line, the individual cylinder bolts are loose, the bolts are stretched to produce plastic deformation, resulting in a loose seal;
7. When tightening the cylinder head bolt, it does not operate according to the specified requirements, such as torque does not meet the requirements, and torque inequality causes the cylinder gasket to not stick smoothly on the combination surface of the cylinder block and the cylinder head, resulting in gas combustion and ablating the cylinder gasket;
8. The plane error between the upper end face of the cylinder liner and the upper plane of the cylinder block is too large, resulting in the cylinder gasket can not be compressed and cause ablation.
When we replace the cylinder pad, we must patiently and carefully operate in strict accordance with technical standards, correctly remove the cylinder head and auxiliary parts, carefully check the damage of each part, and correctly install the cylinder pad, especially in strict accordance with the order, torque and tightening method specified by the engine manufacturer to tighten the cylinder head bolts.Only in this way can we ensure the high quality seal of the cylinder and avoid the cylinder pad from ablating again.
